Shimmer Me Timbers

Hey ladies! Quick post for you today - Zoya Mimi. A pretty purple shimmer. Zoya is always a pleasure to use, the formula always goes on like a dream. I have 3 coats here under Seche Vite. Beautimus!

I should work on my picture skills :/

I got this off of Copious (for free!), it's like Pinterest + Etsy + Free credits all of the time. They keep hooking members up with $10 credits, so I have been getting free polish lately. It's awesome. If you use this link, you get $10 in a welcome bonus and I will get $5. I do not think they do shipping anywhere other than the U.S. right now though :(

See you next time my lovely, polished ladies!

Indestructible...

Hey ladies! I am back after a short break, things have been busy lately and are only going to get busier!

I wanted to do a manicure that would last me through my move, so I needed it to be bullet proof. What is more bulletproof than layer and layers of glitter?

I got this polish off of Copious, which is like Pinterest + Etsy + Free credits all of the time. They keep hooking members up with $10 credits, so I have been getting free polish lately. It's awesome. If you use this link, you get $10 in a welcome bonus and I will get $5. I do not think they do shipping anywhere other than the U.S. right now though :(

This is Jordana Glitters  in the color LA City Nights, a brand that is completely new to me. I am so sad that purples/blues are so tricky to capture on cameras because this combo is stunning! I have (not even kidding) 5 layers of this glitter on my hands. This isn't budging. I love, love, love this glitter and can't wait to try it on top of other polishes!
Sparkles!
I for see MANY gorgeous manicures with this glitter. I am totally jelly sandwiching it, I am putting it over white, over black, painting my walls with it....ok not that far. See you next time my lovely, polished ladies!

EDIT:
Taking ze glitter off! Whew.

Love Everyday

I am sure you have heard about the tragedy that has struck my wonderful state of Colorado. My friend was one of the 12 victims taken by a senseless act. Alex Sullivan was a kind man, always smiling, always positive. He will be missed greatly. We will never understand why or how someone could do this, but we will continue to love one another and grow deeper bonds than ever before.

Please do not take anything for granted. Hug the people you love everyday. Let go of your grudges. Do something nice for a stranger.

Something About Zoya...

Hello! So, awhile back I got a mini trio from Zoya and for some reason, I hadn't gotten to Zoya Zuza. I think I know why, it's because the camera does not really do this guy justice because the micro glitters are so subtle, it doesn't really pick it up.

Short and sweet, 3 coats of Zuza, 1 of Seche Vite. I LOVE Zoya. Their formulas are always amazing to work with. The polish glides on, no problems.
As close as I could get to capturing the shimmer.
Don't make fun of my goopy ring finger. I had troubles with Seche, I'm almost out.

The color isn't as impressive as some other Zoya's I have seen, but it's still gorgeous! Until next time my lovely, polished ladies!

Officially Neon Obsessed

Hello! I am going to have to stop myself from buying any more neons, because quite frankly, I'm obsessed.

I grabbed this polish off of Copious, which is like Pinterest and Etsy combined. I  signed up under a friend's invite and I got $10 towards a purchase (a free nail polish!) and she got $5 towards a purchase. here is the link to my referral page to grab your free $10!

I purchased a brand I have never used before. Matte.n.a by Cherimoya in the shade Kiddy Flick. I have been on a neon kick lately and thought this would just be a POW statement nail.

I have on 2 coats of OPI Alpine Snow to make the color pop and 2 coats of Kiddy Flick. This is matte polish so it obviously dried matte, but it was a almost like a demi-matte so I put a coat of Seche Vite over to give me some shine. This polish smells AWFUL. Let me repeat, it smells AWFUL. I mean polishes aren't all flowers and sunshine, but this takes the cake. Also, the brush is super fluffy, if this were a dark shade, I would have had some issues. Overall, it's a beautiful color!

This is the matte finish, which is beautiful but this polish doesn't self-level, so you see every flaw!

With a coat of Seche Vite - shiny!

I am hoping I can restrain myself from doing another neon post...but it's summer, after all! I am almost done with summer school so I have a few weeks to paint my nails like a mad woman, muahaha! See you next time my lovely, polished ladies!

No Time Like The Summertime

Hello! Busy weekend, man. I'm about done with summer school, and then for 2 weeks I just might paint my nails everyday with all my free time, until I start fall semester.

I have a polish today that I got off of Copious, which is like Pinterest + Etsy. If you sign up under this link you get $10 towards a purchase (so basically a free nail polish), and then I get $5 to spend, it's a pretty sweet deal.

Anyways, this is Color Club Tangerine Scream. I noticed after 1 hand completed that I probably should have primed my nail white prior to the tangerine to make the color pop, but it's still pretty neon. I have Palladio Nail Strengthener for the base, 3 coats of Color Club Tangerine Scream and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

This had a great formula, it was a bit runny at times, I had to really monitor how much I was putting on my brush, but otherwise I think this is gorgeous.

Ka-pow!

Also, I totally had to buy a neon orange after I saw a little girl at the pool with awesome, bright, neon orange fingers. I almost stopped to ask if I could take a picture, but then I thought that might be creepy. Oh well. Until next time, my lovely, polished ladies!

Glitter, Glitter Everywhere

Hello there! I am clearly avoiding homework, and what better to avoid homework than to paint my nails. Today, I went with another fabulous glitter I received in my Julep Maven box!

If you aren't familiar with Julep Maven, it's a subscription box for nail polish and you can get your first box for just 1 penny! This is my referral link if you feel like checking it out. You can get a penny box with the code: TWITTER1 HTTP://JULEP.COM/?R=21827352

I have on 3 coats of OPI's Care To Danse? and only 1 coat of Julep's Yumi. Yes, 1 coat. This glitter is super opaque. So far all of the glitters I have received from Julep have been jam packed with glitter, I LOVE IT!

Glitter bomb!
I feel oh-so-sparkly. I'm loving Julep glitters, I will probably have to drop by the Julep website and see what other glitters they have! Until next time, my lovely, polished ladies!

Let Freedom Ring!

Hello! I caved and did a 4th of July manicure. Mostly because I got a nail polish called "America" in this months Julep Maven box.

If you aren't familiar with Julep Maven, it's a subscription box for nail polish and you can get your first box for just 1 penny! This is my referral link if you feel like checking it out. You can get a penny box with the code: TWITTER1 HTTP://JULEP.COM/?R=21827352

On to Julep's America! This was a perfect and timely addition to the July box. I did not expect this glitter to be so opaque, but there is a ton of glitter in here, you guys! I have on 2 coats of Essie's Aruba Blue and just 1 coat of Julep's America. Holy glitter!!! There are also some star shaped pieces of glitter in here, which is adorable.

Uhhh clean-up was awful with Essie. My fingers are blue.

Bling, Happy Independence, America.
I'm not a big themed manicure fan, but this glitter polish is phenom. I'm talking in abbrevs now. Obvi. Well, everyone have a safe, fun holiday and I will see you soon, my lovely, polished ladies!

Julep Lynn Swatch

Happy Sunday! I got my Julep box last night! Before I used the star of my Julep box, I wanted to swatch one of the other polishes I received in my box.

If you aren't familiar with Julep, it's a subscription service that gives you nail polish! I got my first box for just 1 cent! If you want to keep receiving boxes, they are $19.99 and well worth the price. I got 3 nail polishes and a lip gloss in July's box. Here is a link where you can grab your intro box for 1 cent, just remember the code TWITTER1 HTTP://JULEP.COM/?R=21827352

Now onto the polish. This is Julep's Lynn, which is a pearly peach. I wasn't a fan of this when I first put it on but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I'm normally not a pearl finish fan but this is a beautiful, classic color. I did an accent nail with OPI's Pirouette My Whistle, because why not. Then I topped it with Seche Vite.
Gorgeous and peachy!
I wanted to show the pearly finish on this before I added a top coat.

There you have it! I will, in fact, do a 4th of July mani from a gorrrgeous polish I got in this box, regardless of how hokey I think themed manicures are. I will see you before the 4th my lovely, polished ladies!
